Your Web Site is Useless and Invisible: “Is this truly the beginning of viability and usability for handheld mobile Web browsing? The signs have never been clearer. The real question: Is your Web site ready? ”
OK, I’m well known as a cynic, but my reaction was “harrumph”. At least here in W. MI, I have yet to see anyone using or even worried about wireless internet browsing in a business setting. Maybe in the big cities the wireless networks are in place to support it, but not here. My prediction is that we have at least a couple of years to worry about wireless browser users on our websites. In fact, because of the ovewhelming amount of work it would take to re-fit even a modest sized business website to work on such small browsers, I’m not yet convinced it makes sense for most business to ever worry about it.
