Weblog and RSS subscriptions by email and SMS

MyRssAlerts.com is a server-based subscription mechanism that watches Weblogs and other RSS sources on your behalf and then sends email alerts when new articles are posted.  http://www.myrssalerts.com/

For those of you not wanting to add an RSS aggregator to your computer, this site proposes to maintain your list of RSS subscriptions and send them to you via email.

Offering Boyink.com content via email is something I’ve been wanting to do for some time now, so I’ve added the MyRssAlerts subscription form to the right column.  We’ll see how it goes….

Update:  Here’s an example of what you’ll get via email:

To add a few more rss->email options that I’ve tried to the mix:

    http://rss.blogstreet.com/asp-rssbin/auth_rss

which is a similar service.  For those with on-all-the-time servers:

    http://www.w3.org/2002/09/rss2email/

which is the one I use.  Of course, neither offers the option to add a subscription form to your webpage.  I just wonder how well MyRssAlerts will do as more people start using it…

I have had some difficulty using MyRssAlerts. More importantly, I’ve found no contact information for the service/organization. Do you know of any way of getting through to them with questions?

    Thanks,
    Steve in Boston
