I’m very tempted to buy one of these - not only for public places where the management has decided that public group TV viewing is more interesting (or profitable) than plain old human to human interaction, but for some family get-togethers as well. 

We’ve been “TV-less” for months now, first by choice due to some house re-arranging, now even moreso since our trusty old 10” set died.  It’s amazing how quickly we’ve become “re-sensitized” to the ubiquity (and sheer idiocy) of television after not watching it for so long.

   Family gatherings, I agree whole heartedly with that Mike.

   Thankfully my families don’t do a lot of that.  We will sit down and watch a movie together but normally we’re visiting or playing games or eating since we see each other so rarely it seems.

   When we bought the new house I specifically stated that the TV was to be upstairs in the office/den area not in the living room/kitchen area so when we have guests it won’t be any problem to not have it on at all.  ;)
