Using a PC’s screensaver mode to display data from the internet has been tried before. More than once.
New Paradigm? Hardly.
I always figured the fundamental flaw of these ideas was the notion of doing it while the PC is in screensaver mode. It’s like adding a motion sensor to your tv and - when all is quiet—a triggering the TV to come on and show programs and commercials.
