Not sure if I’ve blogged this before or just read it as some of it seemed familiar…but it still rings true three years later.

I’ve gotten to a point where I *hate* grocery shopping and try to avoid it at all costs - simply because there are too many choices.  It bothers me that I have to spend one iota of my life trying to figure out the best option of 27 different varieties of peanut butter.  Or bread.  Or whatever.

And just when you think you can either note or memorize a specific item to buy (get the Spartan crunchy in the 16 oz. size with the blue lid) the marketing department of that particular product decides the packaging needs a refresh, and the new look no longer fits what you’re looking for.

Throw in a little Dutch guilt over spending $0.20 more for a jar than you could have if you’d been more critical, and then some American guilt over complaining about such a thing as too many choices while other countries starve…and I wish I could just take a pill rather than eat.

But then I’d probably have to choose which flavor pill….
