Google Maps

http://maps.google.com/maps

I’m sure this will be all over the web today, but I’ll post it anyway.

I’m impressed.  Immediately.  I typed in my address and was almost instantly presented with a map.  The click and drag interface is a dream - no more click ...wait ...refresh…oops too far ...click ...wait ..oops now a bit higher…..

Another step towards the Google OS…

Nice but it still can’t find my home.  I have yet to find an internet map that will correctly ID the location of my home.

    Found my parents though.

Found my home, but the new M-6 highway isn’t there.

Can’t copy-and-paste a link to a map, it appears, too.

Cool though.  First I heard of it here!

I did notice a few discrepancies too in the roads around here and the way they were indicated to meet on the map and what they really do.

It placed my house on the opposite side of the street from where it really is.  Oh well, at least I know where I live.
