Sometimes I feel like I’ve posted something about a dozen times before…but in this case it’s still worth repeating.
Before you worry about your site being “cool”, “exciting”, “flashy”, or an “experience”, worry about what questions it will answer for your visitors. Worry about what problems people are coming to your site looking to solve.
The most “exciting” thing your site can do for your visitors is answer their questions or solve their problem as quickly and painlessly as possible.
While a professional design is important, checking in at #6 in the Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility, the proof is still in the web-content pudding.
Try to hard to be “exciting” and your visitors will quickly drop the “c” and be “exiting”....
