Client Seeing 20X Traffic Increase

Just a quick client sucess story to post today.  A little over a year ago Boyink Interactive launched a new ExpressionEngine site for The Villa Passalacqua, replacing a Flash-based site.  I just got an update from the owner of the Villa, and his traffic has increased from 35 average visitors per day to 700.

For anyone considering implementing a site fully in Flash I’d just have to ask if it’s worth missing out on that much traffic.

    Amen and out :)
Despite the increasing accessibility of Flash (meaning the tool itself), a lot of Flash sites would be better of being made with well-coded HTML and CSS.

Mike - I agree with your opinion on Flash sites, but I wonder if you’d be willing to share some specific points of why you think the html site is performing better than the Flash site. I would have some ideas of my own just in general, but it would be nice to know if there is anything specific you’d like to point out.

That’s great Mike! I always ask my Flash loving graphic design friends this very same question when they talk about designing a site in nothing but flash.
