If you use Charter Communications for internet service, but another provider for email, heads up. Charter is now requiring that all outgoing mail flow through their server.
This change happened for us sometime late Tuesday. Sure would have been nice if they had told us.
Oh, and by the way: Where I used to be able to unplug, head to a client, and plug into their network and send and recieve email seamlessly, now I have to reconfigure my outgoing mail server on all email accounts when I do this, since I can’t authenticate to Charter from a different network.
What a pain. Are all ISP’s going this route? It’s enough to get me to jump if not.
