Buh Bye Google Ads

Back on September 10th I added Google ads to the “hobby pages” on Boyink.com - all those pictures and project writeups of the vehicles I enjoy working on in my spare time.

While I’ve read of other people making $100’s of dollars from Google’s ads, overall I was averaging about $0.25/per day, and for the last couple of months less than that.  This even with some pretty good search rankings for related terms - for awhile I was #3 for “CJ-5”, but the latest Google dance moved me back to page 5 for that term now.

I never earned enough to get a monthly check, and I’ve yet to receive the year-end check promised by Google (maybe I didn’t fill something out correctly?).

So they’re gone.

Edit.  Figures - the check came in the mail today.

    how much traffic did those pages average per week

    Looking at Googles stats, anywhere from 70-100 page views a day.
