I’m pleased to announce that the photo below took a 3rd place ribbon in “Black and White Scenic Photography” at the local Ottawa County Fair.  Not bad for a shot taken with a 2MB Canon Digital Elph while on a morning walk along Lake Macatawa here in Holland.  Five other photos from my photoblog were granted “Honorable Mentions”.

    Congrats! 

    I was fishing in a boat in that exact spot (in the forground water) last month with my neighbor and kids.  My pictures weren’t nearly as good.
