American Seating 3 Month Checkup

Back in July, I announced the re-launch of American Seating.com.  It’s been just a bit over three months, and I wanted to show how American Seating is reaping the benefits of a standards based website designed to read well to the search engines.

The following charts were generated using the tools at http://www.marketleap.com

First is Search Engine Saturation—which is the number of pages a search engine “sees” on your site.  Bigger is better, in this case, as the more pages a search engine sees the more likely your site will be included in search results.

Here’s the history chart for American Seating’s Search Engine Saturation:

Next up is Link Popularity - how many people are linking to your site.  Based on the chart below, we can rate the American Seating project a success - the site is linked to much more often now:

Then there’s Keyword Verification, or looking at how you rank for specific search terms.  In Amercan Seating’s case, we were pleased to see that the site ranks highly (currently #2 on Google)for the generic “seating” search term:

So there you have it - some real-world data to back up the advantages of standards-based, css driven, well-architected website.

    Congrats Mike!

    Another job well done.

Now I expect the same results from Early CJ-5.com.  ;)

Any metrics on how many people are enticed to surf into the site ... and any metrics on how deep within the site they navigate?

To me, one of the benefits of usable design (which you aptly demonstrate) is that it should (in theory) invite the user to explore. I was jsut curious if you had a means of tracking that.

That said, KUDOS! to you, though I’m not surprised at the excellent results of your excellent work.
