- Fun Magic - Fun Prizes
-
Here’s a fun little promo with a big giveaway - a 40” HD TV. Moview is a West Michigan company making wall and desk mounts for LCD screens and monitors. I had a small hand in some of the early planning and conceptualizing of this campaign - so am not eligible to win. You can though (you just owe me a movie night if you do). No purchase or retweeting or any other odd behaviors necessary!
Check out the video and then head over to the Contest Entry Page.

- On Not Setting Goals
-
If you don’t have goals, how do you measure or even define success? - John Faulds via Twitter
John asked me this question as part of a conversation taking place on Twitter - and while his question was specifically around the use of Twitter (and part of a related conversation) it caused me to back up and look at my life and work in general.
I’m not a goal setter. I can’t find the time or the interest to create goals and then track progress to them.

- Garmin Hires Michael Boyink/Train-ee
-
I’m very happy to announce that Garmin - a global leader in the GPS navigation, communication and sonar device industry - has hired Train-ee to lead ExpressionEngine training for its staff.
I’ll be spending a week of August at Garmin’s headquarters in Olathe, Kansas teaching a mixed team of IT, Marketing and Communication folks the essentials for developing websites using EE.
My greatest fear at this point is getting lost trying to find the conference room…;)

- Two Research Studies I Want
-
Wow…a blog post..how do I do this again? ;)
This week I’ve been involved with in a couple of conversations around the web that have served to remind me just how young the web is. While other mediums of communication have had years to grow, evolve and be studied the web is still so young. In each conversation I found myself wishing some better research had been done to provide clearer direction. Here are the two assumptions I’d like to see proved out with high-quality research studies. If they exist and you can link me to them then I’d be eternally grateful.
