I saw this referenced on a email discussion list as one of 2003’s “Top Innovations”. Huh. An application that installs on a local computer that allows some corporate entity to push messaging and content to it.
Top Innovation of 2003? How about: Most miserable flop of 1997?
This is exactly the same model as PointCast tried in 1996/1997 when all you heard in the Internet world was “push”.
