- Writing About the Web in Print?
-
Are you a writer or editor for any sort of print medium - like a regional B2B publication that has special features around the use of technology by businesses?
Here’s a quick tip - if you write a full-page article about a nifty new website, with interviews from the site developer and client, talking up the globalization strategy behind the site, the metrics used to gauge the success of the site, and how it so neatly addresses the needs of the users of the site, don’t stop there.

Please.
Pretty-please.
Include the URL to the site being featured.

- It’s Official - I’m No Poet
-
Thank you to everyone who sent in a poem to our Spring Poetry Contest, Lhude Sing Cuccu. Over 2,000 poems came flooding into our e-mailbox, a tidal outpouring of spring fever, and we read every single one. From these we chose fifteen poems to be read on our show on Saturday, March 31, one of which will win a Sleep Number bed from Select Comfort and three-dozen roses. Link >>

A few months ago, I deleted about 90% of the RSS feeds and mailing lists I was subscribed to. I was just plain suffering from information overload, and my thought was to get rid of most of it, see what I missed, and add those back. So far, I think I’ve added maybe 2 feeds back.
As part of that withdrawal, I took myself a bit outside the “internet hype-loop”, which I was reminded of this week.

- ExpressionEngine Rebrands and Relaunches
-
Huge changes over at the company formerly known as pMachine. The parent pMachine brand has been changed to EllisLabs, and there are complete new websites for EllisLabs, ExpressionEngine, and EngineHosting (formerly pMachineHosting).
They’re still cleaning up various odds and ends, but the redesigned sites are nicely done, and I’m proud to be associated with the company and its products.
