  2. State of Michigan Petition to Lower Gas Prices
April 25, 2006 in Internet Gleanings

Michigan drivers are again facing the reality of $3-per-gallon gas - it’s time for President Bush and leaders in Washington to stop watching and start protecting us from the skyrocketing cost of gasoline! A bit of link-love for my kids today - as part of their schooling I’ve been doing a bit of work with them on writing fiction - talking about character backstories, scene descriptions, plot outlines, voice, morals, etc.  We worked together to develop a set of characters, some scenes, and a basic plot outline, then I had them use those elements as a basis for a story that they had to write independently.  My wife posted their stories on her home-schooling blog.

My 9 year old son’s story is here, and my 7 year old daughter’s is here.

I wonder about bigger corporations, and what the overall cost is when you factor in the purchase, rollout/installation, and training.

    (And please, no MS-bashing….;)
