Tonight I wrapped up the installation of another GM retractable underhood light, this one mounted inside the Jeep, in the “CJ6 Space” between the front driver’s seat and rear wheel housing. The mount is fabbed up from a combination of angle iron and part of the light’s original mount.
Note that if you use these lights, you can only mount them in certain directions due to the internal mercury switch that normally functions to turn them on when you open the hood.
This one I just switched from a dash switch.
