SSDutch CJ6 Jeep Blog

Brakes, Radiator, Wiring, Floor

Harrison has adopted the wiring and dash as his pet project, hacking away at the rat’s nest of wiring with a pair of side cutters.

Switches all out, the operational SW gauges will be removed and sold

Floor sections are removed.  Funny how many of the bolts were loose/missing.  SSDutch will definitely get more use of locktite.

Not sure yet how the 4.3 will be attached to the gas pedal, so I’m keeping all the V6 sections until the engine is in.

Radiator, master cylinder/boost unit all out.

yeah mine was different, the pedal hinged at the middle like a big C, so the pivot was at the middle of the pedal.  clear as mud?? :)

yep… the cable i got fit in the bracket on the engine and also had a little plastic thing that poped into the hole in the firewall.  i got lucky on both of those b/c all i did was go to a FLAPS and asked to look at what they had and just picked the shortest one they had and it matched up great.  all i had to do was cut a notch so that i could slide the cable into the hole on the pedal.
