SSDutch CJ6 Jeep Blog

And So It Ends

And so 24 years of Jeep ownership comes to an end with the purchase of SSDutch and the Bantam Trailer.  Meet the new owner of both - Justin and Clarisse from Indiana.  Justin drove the Jeep a couple hours home - towing the trailer and in convoy with a pickup full of all my spare and uninstalled parts.

Feels really strange to be Jeepless - especially on a nice warm day like today - but I have a great sense of anticipation for what’s next.

Good luck with it Justin!

Hi, MIchael!  Well now, bodylanguage tells it (almost) all; A happy young couple, entering the prime of their lives. Radiating joy with their new rig, ready to drive off into the sunset in confidence. You are smiling, too.
Parting from a good and trusted buddy is never easy especially so if it is about having shared a deep and intense period in a man’s life,  whilst standing at the point of goin’ yonder, way yonder. All the best, summer will come… Happy Easter greetings from Holland, Marc.

    Mike,
Congratulations on the sale of the Jeep!  Debra and I (and Molly) went on a camping trip earlier this week and I was telling her about your plans for an extended trip.  It spurred me to come to your site to see if you had sold the SS Dutch yet.  I know you guys must be excited.  Good luck with everything!

By the way - just the other day, one of Debra’s friends inquired about the the “cool but strange” picture on our kitchen counter.  We told her the story about Debra getting it from you as a Christmas present for me.  I’ll have to check out your photo blog - my birthday is just around the corner…
