Boyink! - Spring Forward on the Web

OK, look.  I’ve been getting some comments here on the site are cheesing me off.  I provide comments as a service to Boyink.com visitors, to allow helpful and positive conversations to happen.

If you think my site sucks, if you have the inclination to post rude comments about my Jeep or the other content here, do us a both a favor—skip leaving the comment, and instead leave Boyink.com and don’t come back.  The internet is a big place, surely there’s a site where you’ll be happy and fit in.  Then again, maybe not.

Here’s what’s going to happen if you post that comment—at best your comment is going to sit here for 6, maybe 8 hours.  Then as soon as I check my email (which I do often as I work online), I’ll see an email that contains your email address and the contents of your comment.  That email also has a link that lets me immediately delete your comment.  I can also ban you from posting ever again.

This site isn’t a public place - you have no “Free Speech” rights here.  The site is my private property and I decide what stays and what goes.

So be real, be positive, or be gone.

   I am very sorry to hear that people are sending rude and destructive comments to your weblog. I really enjoy your site because it is the only site dealing with CJ6’s and because you update it regularly. But most of all I enjoy it because of your openness and honesty in sharing your experiences with other enthusiasts. It is unfortunate that a selected few are taking advantage of that. I was touched by your Perfect Sunday Recipe which has inspired me to try get my jeep on the road by the time I have kids (and a dog!). Keep up the good work! I dont know if you have a hit counter but I am sure there are many other enthusiasts of your site such as me, who far outnumber the few destructive critics.

   Thanks for stopping by and for your encouraging remarks.

   You’re right, I get much more positive feedback than negative. 

   The negative stuff just caught me at a bad time this week, and I just don’t understand people who a)Take time out of life to post negative stuff and b) Think for one minute that I’m going to leave it on the site. The whole dance just gets silly after awhile…;)

   I see by your email address that you are in South Africa - I’d love to post some pics of your CJ6 project..;)

   Dear Mike, I’m with you! How dare these people tread like this! it wastes truly valuable time and energy on everyones part! It really is quite simple really…...LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT! BUT at the very least have RESPECT!
