I hope Reid will pitch in with more of the specs on his ‘67 CJ6 project - from what I gather it’s destined for a Dauntless Buick V6, hooked to a TH350 automatic.  I also see a Saginaw steering swap, a shackle reversal, a nice custom rollcage,  and is that a custom frame?

   It started out life as a stock 1967 and has had a little massaging.  I went with this project after mostly being involved with Flat fenders because my dada raced one in the 1967 Baja 1000 for Brian Chachua.  His was a 2wd version and they won their class.  As Mike acuratly guessed to most of the specs, it is an aftermarket frame.  I went with Advanced frame works because I put way too much work into my last flatfender frame and it was way easier to just order this one the way I wanted it.

   Made for a dauntless 225 with a TH350, Dana 30 up front with a Ford 9” in the back.  I’ll be using a Dana 300 twin stick transfercase.  The steering is a saginaw with a Vanco hydro assist system for the stopping power.  The front is disc but the rear is still drum.
   I’m running 2 1/2 wrangler springs from Currie with a shackle reverse in the front.  I fell in love with this system on my last flatfender so I wanted to duplicate it for the CJ6 project.
   A sharpe eye will notice that the body no longer has the Jeep stamp in front of the door opening.  This is because the PO cut them out to put in some kind of funky vent system.  I tried to find some original panels but ended up just putting it back with smooth panels and I’ll sticker it when the paint is done.

   I’ll try to send updates as I make more progress.  My goal is to get it running and in the dirt by the end of January (no snow in So Cal!  I’ll run it un painted and tear it down and finish the paint this summer.

   I would really like some info on that frame.  Did you buy it or make it?  If you made it can you share your specs so I can make one as well.  The Dung Beetle project is in need of a new frame really bad.
