1963 Hardtop CJ6 - Tuxedo Park Edition

Judging by the serial number, this CJ6 currently being offered on eBay is the 15th Tuxedo Park edition made.  This is also evidenced by the column shift, front bench seat, and rear license plate holder.  It’s rough, but here’s your chance to own one of the earliest of the one of the rarest Jeep models out there - the CJ6 Tuxedo Park.

I contacted the owner of this Jeep and I have purchased it, luckily the frame is in good condition and the hardtop is fixable, unfortunately the body is beyond repair and will be replaced with a correct replacement, I am proud to own this CJ6A as it is very rare indeed and it will go through a thorough frame off restoration as soon as I finish restoration on my 46’ CJ2A. If you would like more pictures or information on this Jeep feel free to contact me. Thanks, Mike

Mike:  I just purchased a 67 CJ6——she is in very good condition considering the age.  Any directions you can point me in reference to hard tops, tailgates, etc.

    Thanx for your assistance.

    Hello

I have a 1975 Jeep CJ6 and I was approached by a guy who says he has a CJ6 hard top for sale. He says it is rough and I have no idea where one would find parts such as windows, door hardware etc. Wondering if it would be a mistake to buy this thing if it is very hard or impossible to buy parts for it.
Any info you can give me would be much appreciated and I would really like to see other people’s pics of their projects.

    Thanks, Jon S.

I just bought a 1965 CJ6 Tuxedo Park.  I like to see some of your pictures?

I have a 64 cj6 with the same front seat set up. I am missing the passenger seat though. Is the passenger seat a standard cj5?

COULD YOU HELP ME FIND OUT WHAT I HAVE. I BOUGHT A CJ6A VIN#8422A10255.  IT HAS THE LONGER WHEEL BASE AND LOOKS AS IF IT HAS TWO JEEP TUBS WELDED TOGETHER.  THANKS GENE

Send me some pics and I can help you out. The Cj-6 had a 20 inch piece welded in between the door opening and the wheel well to make it longer. The piece follows the curve of the door opening and wheel well. Other than that every body and suspension piece is standard cj-5 stuff.
