1959 CJ6 Fire Jeep

One of two recent CJ6 Fire Jeeps recently on Ebay, this one having served in Ohio.

The auction description reads:

1959 Willy’s Jeep CJ6, 4 wheel drive, serial # 5774 8-16903, purchased July 23, 1959 as a grass/brush fire trunk for the Palmyra Township Fire Dept. which is the original owner, odometer shows 5050 miles on a Hurricane F-Head Engine and 3 speed manual transmission, bucket seats for two, helper springs, heavy duty clutch, master battery disconnect switch, front mounted Ramsey MX200-R winch presently inoperative with a pulling capacity of 8000 lbs., tailgate unattached. Factory body and drive train includes: fiberglass wrapped steel tank approximate capacity 100 gals. plumbed to a IPT pump powered by a 5 HP Briggs and Stratton engine producing up to 75 psi, 3 fire brooms, 4 fire swatters, Federal Director Siren, Galls Traffic Buster Beacon Code 3 Model 550, 2 ˝ lb. dry chemical extinguisher, 15” white spoke rims with all terrian tires, 4 way emergency flashers, includes many original documents (invoice, legal notice for invitation to bid, owners manual, winch manual with parts list, price quotes and other misc. papers)
